MY DRIVE

This has for a long time, rendered so many people visionless, terrible and ‘insane‘. I’m growing, we’re all growing, every day and every second brings us closer to our dreams or goals; that no matter how hard you want to guess what your future looks like, you end up curious, anxious, and almost frustrated. Some of us don't even have the slightest idea of where we are headed.

I miss the excitement of having to see a lot of… that’s by the way. Anyway, I just want to communicate something very……. interesting and I mean the word very. I see a lot, a whole lot of people trying really hard just to meet up with so many “competitions” lately, especially since the whole pandemic happened, everyone is just trying to be particular about one or two things just to keep them busy. We all are trying to maintain our sanity and just build our ideas into something amazing and big, which is a very beautiful idea. In fact, Mark Zuckerberg once said: Ideas don’t come out fully formed except we work on them’, which summarizes the need to find something doing.  I don’t know who needs to hear or read this, but I hope after this you know the difference between activity and productivity.
Yeah, Let’s talk! Hey, I don’t know what you might be working on for a while now, I’m just here to tell you it’s okay to feel you’re not doing enough, it shows how determined you are; especially when you’re striving – really fighting to focus and probably put up a particular storyline – driving at a purpose and you’re like ‘What’s wrong with me? I’m really trying…’ blah blah blah. You’re trying no doubt, you are just too overly dependent on what people should say and maybe their thumbs up. In simple terms, your motivation is from the external.
Listen, it’s sometimes not about accumulation, assimilation matters too okay? I mean absorbing perfectly what you’re passionate about; a wholesome collection of that one thing that you’re excited about often, that sustains and keeps your hope(s) alive every single day is pertinent. You can’t be a jack of all trade, No! See, it doesn’t work like that, you gotta be either here or there, otherwise you would end up bitter. Know what works for you, try not to imitate anyone. There are a few, yeah, a few who can actually merge two, three tasks together, but trust me, not all of them actually find rich enthusiasm in it, moreso of the whole tasks, they have one particular task they are deliberate about and they are hell-bent, hours, trying to figure out how to solve people’s problem with that one mental transcript.
Let your zeal to doing anything come from within, not because someone’s waiting to approve you. If you must find any pattern to achieving anything in life, it should be the one that suits you – do it your way uniquely. If the reason for doing something is to be seen, you’d always – always question why you are not doing it the way you feel you should, because honestly, not everyone would appreciate your effort. Everyone has their spec, their dealings; but the few who are ready to pay attention to you shouldn’t be fed with adulterated results.
Your full charisma, agility and esteem should be a pointer to the fact that you can be a real pro in whatever you do.
I’m a person who loves challenges really – very deliberate about my goals; so most times I follow a structured pattern that would help me win those. In essence, I don’t give myself needless headache, knowing fully well I have a target, and I come out fine. If at other days my goals for a day or a week can’t be met, I’m thankful for that, and that’s still okay. I know I tried and nobody wrote me those brochure, no one forced me to map out a schedule for myself; I did. Hence, I’m accountable to no one, I praise myself for that. Interestingly, I meet every target, not because I’m a superwoman, but because I followed what I could do at a time – steadily with uttermost consistency.
Now, not everyone can be this way, that’s why it’s good you know what works best for you. Don’t get me wrong, extrinsic motivation is inherently not too bad, but once you feel unfulfilled, unnecessarily worried about any of your processes and or engagements, check your motivation. Learn to just be innate in whatever motivates you. Be natural; you don’t have to stretch your nerves too hard before you are noticed okay? I’m not saying you shouldn’t try, uhn-uhn!!!; just take it a step after another.

Sell your ideas with authenticity – genuineness, resilience, and passion. Believe in your abilities, praise yourself, give yourself a nice treat. Mehn…you don’t deserve just anything but every good thing you can get. Whatever drives you should always challenge you and not the other way round. Trust me, you’ve been amazing, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, just pull yourself together enough to appreciate the real you.
Its never too late to be who you might have been, pick up the baton and continue the race.
External factors influence the path but not the direction, be the real you.
